extremely well made handgaurd. I installed it on a AR and ordered a Authentic DD barrel nut as I read it works best on real ARs if you use a Authentic barrel nut. I didn't try to nut it came with but I couldn't tell the difference quality or weight wise between the 2 nuts. I'm extremely happy with my purchase

Great handguard for the money. Fitted my AEG perfectly. I ve compared it to an original dd and they look pretty much identical. The only thing I am concerned about is the color. Ordered tan, but the handguard is rather grayish.
fits Ar15 upper receiver down side is the color is a grayish brown , scratches easily, and there is small gaps where the bolts go in but can be corrected with small washers.

Anodizing is slightly dark, but I am astonished at the quality! I put this up against my real RIS II and other than the color, the quality is extremely close! Would buy it again!

If you are going to buy this for a real AR, I assume you will need to purchase a real Daniel Defense barrel nut. something about the barrel nut that comes with this kit is off, and it will not 100% secure the barrel to the upper reciever and there is a little movement, which is dangerous. I tried using shims and that didn't help, it might be the backing plate too though. Unfortunately I will not know until I am able to purchase a real barrel nut from DD and who knows when that will be, because of covid. Its frustrating because you see other good reviews but it is only because they were lucky enough purchased the real nut from Daniel Defense. So I will wait around until they have them for sale again, until then I cannot use the rail.

Not a bad rail overall I really like it however, ring for attachment goes on fine, but does not fully screw on to upper receiver. Tried my other rings that I originally had for other rails and they worked perfectly fine and fully tightened. Not being fully tightened allows for barrel to move slightly foward and back which is really unsafe. Maybe it is a bad ring? Because when I got it, the threads were a little rough as well. Btw, Ordered it on 10/11/2020, received it 1/7/2021 just as a reference for shipping.
